I have to give a special thanks to, and shine a light on, Xelena Gonzalez and Adriana Alexander. Not only are we friends but in 2009 we formed a collective of artists called THE MOONWALKERS. Of course, we are the only three members, but hey, movements start somewhere, right? Not only do these ladies have beautiful spirits but they are supremely talented and students of the art of the written word. They were the perfect and right choices for the job of editing my manuscript. ‘The Last Poem On The Last Day” was a long poem of me pouring out my soul. But with these ladies help, we were able to get down to the core of the story and present it in a classic and honest way. We worked hard to trim the fat and amplify the good stuff. It was a 2-3 month process since we had to send emails and im’s to get it done, but it got done. They deserve as much credit, if not more, for how great the project turned out. When I had lost myself in the addictive mix of music and the music industry, they helped me remember my first, purest, and truest passion … the written word. Much love goes to Xele and Adie. Here are a few picks they sent me during those editing sessions.
